An office refit is a refurbishment of space you already occupy, usually without relocating. That constraint shapes everything: work happens in phases, out of hours or over a shutdown, dust and noise have to be managed around people trying to do their jobs, and the contractor needs to be comfortable on a live site. The honest first question is whether a refit is the right answer at all. If the lease has under three years to run, a light refit that avoids triggering dilapidations may be the better spend. If the space is fundamentally the wrong size, a relocation with a fresh Cat B often costs little more than a heavy refit once phasing costs and disruption are counted.
